THE SOCCER 

Soccer (English football), also known as soccer, football or soccer is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players each and a referee who ensures that the rules are properly followed. It is widely considered the world's most popular sport because itinvolved some 270 million people.1 is played on a rectangular grass field with a goal orgoal on each side of the field. The goal is to move a ball across the field to try and locate this within the opponents' goal, action is called a goal. The team that scores the most goals after the game is who wins.

The modern game was created in England following the formation of the FootballAssociation, whose rules of 1863 are the basis of the sport today. Football's governing body is the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, better known by its acronym FIFA. The international football competition is the most prestigious FIFA WorldCup, held every four years. This event is the most famous and most viewers in the world, doubling the audience of the Games Olímpicos.2
